I indulged in a package just for him, which had everything and more than I could have hoped for in a spa day. There are not that many spa packages for men in Melbourne, so I was happy to find this one.

I opted to throw in a beard trim into this Crown spa package, given I’d be walking out looking a million dollars, I couldn’t have a scraggly beard. The package is a very luxurious 2 hours and 30 minutes long and is the perfect gift for that special man in your life. I’d go as far as saying it’s perfect for almost any occasion, birthdays, anniversaries and even Father’s Day.

Walking into the spa, you’re immediately hit with a wave of luxury and ambience. The welcoming staff step you through a simple health form to make sure they know all about any aches or pains you need taken care of. The spa is so passionate about its Aqua Retreat they advise you to get there at least 60 minutes early to enjoy it.

After sitting in this calming Aqua oasis with its waterfalls and jet bubbles staring at the mosaic-tiled walls that reach the ceiling, I can totally understand why. After the soak in the Aqua Retreat, it’s off to the steam room to help relax those muscles and open up those pores. With showers available, you can also have a good rinse before your treatment.
Once you’ve enjoyed these amazing amenities, it’s time to don the fluffy white cotton robe and slippers for your treatment to begin. The very friendly treatment specialists collect you from the foyer and off you go to experience bliss.
Massage time
The massage was one of the best parts of the whole experience, with the professional masseuse checking off all the tender spots or sore points I wanted to focus on. I opted for the deep tissue massage as I was really hoping to leave feeling a little looser and recovered. From the first press, I felt the perfect pressure start to melt away the stiffness in my muscles.
Checking in that it was all ok, my treat specialist went to work and the outcome was partly pain, but mainly relief as the muscles returned to their former glory. The room was relaxed and had a real feeling of calmness to it, which made the whole experience even better.
Let’s see those nails
The Crown Spa Melbourne package options don’t stop with massages, no they have options for everyone. The next stop on the Just for Him package was my manicure. Having noticed how dishevelled my cuticles were getting the night before, I was quite excited about my first ever manicure. The lovely specialist didn’t disappoint either, reviewing my hands and providing some gentle advice on how to better look after my skin.
Over friendly conversation, my cuticles and nails were pampered and transformed. The manicure was a great experience and I left with a new sense of pride in my nails. For any manicure aficionados, the Crown Spa Melbourne manicures are at the top of the game, with luxury products and colours to choose from, this is a must-add to any package.
A little off the top
The final stage of my incredible Crown Spa package in Melbourne was my haircut and beard trim. I was greeted by the lovely hairstylist who took to me to a chair in the salon and attentively listened as I tried to explain the ‘look’ I was going for. From there we took a short walk where I was indulged with a shampoo, condition and a head massage before venturing back to the chair to tame the mane. The result was better than I could have hoped for, the stylist had managed to take my fine hair flop and create a haircut anyone would be happy with. After yet another shampoo, condition and head massage, the final styling was done before the beard trim.
The Crown Spa Melbourne salon team did a great job and it was the perfect way to cap off my spa package.
