Feekah cafe is a destination that needs to be seen to be believed. Visible from the sidewalk, this pink paradise is a sensory overload in the best possible way. The owners have carefully curated a decor that is so cohesive and colourful that whatever way you are facing, you have a brilliantly unique view. Decor aside, the Feekah cafe menu is worth the visit in its own right. We have been to Feekah cafe twice now and there is always a great crowd of people enjoying the pink space and the colourful menu items that are artfully presented for diners both big and small.
Here is our review of Feekah cafe in Melbourne and why you need this pink injection in your week for breakfast or lunch.
Where to find Feekah cafe in Melbourne
Lucky Melbournians have two Feekah cafe locations, so you can introduce this pink pop favourite to your friends on either side of the city. The closest cafe to us is the Feekah cafe Moonee Ponds location, although the Feekah cafe Hawthorn location is a great spot too. When we ventured to the second cafe we were interested to see how the brand was going to replicate an experience that is just so unique, but they have absolutely achieved it. Whether you prefer the Feekah cafe in Moonee Ponds or Hawthorn – neither will disappoint.
📍 The Feekah cafe Moonee Ponds address is 680 Mt Alexander Road, Moonee Ponds.
📍The Feekah cafe Hawthorn address is 80 Burwood Road, Hawthorn.
The Feekah menu
The Feekah cafe vibe might fool you into thinking this is only for a certain type of guest, but the menu has a great variety. It features your favourite brunch classics, while also including some unique Feekah flair to their creative dishes. Oh, and if you are only stepping into Feekah cafe for a coffee, you can still enjoy the creative flair and drama with the staff asking if you would like gold flakes on your coffee crema. Obviously, we said yes!
Here are some of the best dishes we have tried at Feekah cafe – from sweet to savoury, and the best drinks!
Rainbow Pancakes
One of the standout dishes on the Feekah cafe menu is the Rainbow Pancakes. This pancake stack features thick, bright colourful pancakes and a delicious fairy floss cloud on the plate. The pancakes also come with seasonal fruits and a generous scoop of ice cream on top. The Rainbow Pancakes might look small next to the fairy floss, but they are quite substantial and might need to be enjoyed by the whole table. This dish really impressed our little guest!
Moroccan Lamb Salad
The savoury selection at Feekah cafe is great, and we found the Moroccan Lamb Salad to be a great staple on the menu, with some adventurous elements to it too. The pomegranate and the beetroot hommus were delicious, and we will definitely try and recreate this one at home. The first time we went to Feekah we went very hard on the sweet dishes, so I was determined to try savoury this time and was not disappointed. It’s also a great option for those wanting something light but substantial.
Fairy Floss Milkshake
It was exciting to see the fairy floss come out of the kitchen and onto the table, with the pink and blue fairy floss cloud attached to the rim of the glass. If you’re someone who always wants a little extra after you finish your sweet drink too soon – this might be the place for you. We ordered a strawberry and chocolate milkshake for our table and thought we were going to have to fight over the fairy floss but there was so much that we only got halfway through it! We think that this signature drink from Feekah cafe is probably more about the look than the taste!
The Chicken Burger
Imagine our surprise when the Chicken Burger came out with a black bun. This is what we loved about the Feekah cafe experience – there is always a quirky twist to make every meal as impactful as possible. The Chicken Burger was a delicious choice, with the crispy fried chicken one of the best we have had in a while. The burger also came with a basket of shoestring fries which was great – and both tomato sauce and aioli.
Do these Feekah photos prove it’s the most Instagrammable cafe in Melbourne?
It’s a big call to make, but we would wager that this cafe is one of the most Instagrammable cafes in Melbourne, and the Feekah photos here and online are proof of that. Wherever you sit there is a backdrop or a point of interest that is just begging for a photo. There are so many group bookings that come to try the Feekah cafe Moonee Ponds menu and Feekah cafe Hawthorn menu for this very reason. After all, who doesn’t want to get a great group Feekah photo with friends and family? If you are always on the lookout for Instagrammable cafes in Melbourne, be sure to jump on Feekah cafe’s social media and see what Feekah photos they have to get a look and feel of the cafe. Besides the delicious Feekah menu, the most notable decor at Feekah cafe is:
- The rose-lined walls
- Neon ‘Hello Beautiful’ sign on the rose-lined wall
- Neon angel wings on the rose-lined wall
- Pink London phone booth with flowers spilling from the structure
- Pink bike with flowers woven through the bike
We also love the design features they have chosen in the cafe, especially the neon signs. Custom neon signs can match the casual style in the store. Whether it is a business logo, a coffee shop name, or even a piece of art, and they have created a feature that makes you want to take photos and share it.
Boozy Bottomless Brunch at Feekah cafe
If you want to linger longer and get a group together to sample the full scope of the Feekah cafe menu, then you might like to attend the Boozy Bottomless Brunch. Here at Around Melbourne, we are big fans of Bottomless Brunch in Melbourne and this one has everything we love. Flexibility in booking time, a fun selection of drinks and enough variety in the brunch that both sweet and savoury are catered to.
We also like that this Feekah Boozy Brunch is available all day and on any day. Many other Melbourne Bottomless Brunch spots will only offer this at a set time and usually on the weekend. So if you have a group who wants to get together during the week or outside of those popular times – then Feekah cafe has you covered!
You can find out more about Feekah’s Boozy Brunch on the website, but here is what is included for $6o/head: coffee and tea, 1.5 hours of sparkling, Mimosa or beer, and one meal of choice off the menu. We recommend ordering a range of meals between the group so you can share this fabulous Feekah menu!
Dietaries are catered to on the Feekah menu Melbourne
Melbourne cafes are generally quite accommodating of diverse dietary requirements, and we were thrilled to see that Feekah cafe Moonee Ponds menu was the same. We even contacted the owner who was lovely enough to respond to us outlining all the gluten free items on the Feekah cafe menu. We also had a guest that was dairy free, and the staff had no problem at all adapting to those needs and letting us know what could be changed and how. This was really refreshing, and given how set the menu is with its cult classics – it was nice to see that they were on board with being flexible.
Cafe owner, Neha, walked us through the Feekah cafe Moonee Ponds menu and clarified these as the best gluten free menu items on the Feekah menu:
- Chilli Eggs on (GF) Toast
- Shakshuka Egg Bake
- Beef Benny on (GF) Toast
- Falafel Bowl
- Porterhouse Steak
- Moroccan Lamb Salad
