For some parents, a week is peppered with visits to a playcentre. There are so many different types of playcentress in Melbourne, but you always know when you are on to a winner. We recently checked out Landing Playcentre in Bundoora, and we were absolutely blown away but what they had to offer. The best playcentres in Melbourne that we have visited always have about 80% of what we are looking for, so it’s a nice change to find one that seemingly has it all. Here’s our review of this recently refurbished playcentre in Bundoora.

What age is Landing Playcentre perfect for?

Landing Playcentre features carefully designed play areas that accommodate children up to 11 years of age. The thoughtfully segmented zones include a dedicated Baby Zone for infants 0-2 years, a Toddler Zone for children 2-4 years, and a Main Zone for children 5-11 years. The popular Mega Slide is specifically designed for children between 3-11 years, ensuring age-appropriate play experiences throughout the facility.

In our opinion, Landing Playcentre in Bundoora is probably best for that 4-8 year age group, but it will always depend on the child. We have a four-year-old and a six-month-old, and so we found ourselves moving all over the centre to the Baby Zone, Toddler Zone and trying to keep a brave 4-year-old away from the Main Zone (and failing). The Baby Zone had lots of older kids there, but that happens in most playcentres, and there were lots of staff around, so I felt that we could ask them to have the older kids leave if we needed to. All of the areas were big enough for parents to hang around too, which is important!

Landing Playcentre Bundoora admission

Having been to Landing Playcentre now a few times, I think the price is justified as there are lots of zones within the Bundoor site. The prices are not a flat rate, it is based on the age of the child and the day you visit. They also offer a drink voucher for adults, which I think is a nice touch. Here’s how the pricing works out:

Admission cost School days Weekend & School holidays
Baby (0-12 months) Free Free
Toddler (1-2 years) $11.95 $13.95
Junior (3+) $12.95 $15.95
Adults $4 + free drink voucher $4 + free drink voucher

The Landing Playcentre cafe and menu

When it comes to a Landing Playcentre review, you are probably chasing the details about the cafe and menu. A lacking playcentre menu can really be a drag, especially if you or your child has dietary requirements or you don’t want to eat greasy food or high sugar food. Landing Playcentre in Bundoora has a pretty decent offering, and when you pay admission, the adult price includes a free drink for most of the time slots. Take a look at the Landing Playcentre menu below.

Our group ordered chips, wedges, coffee and croissants and we were all happy with what we received. There are, of course, ice blocks and ice creams too which we are yet to leave a playcentre without buying. The friendly team brought the food out quickly and the presentation was very cute – with meals presented in blue fish-shaped plates. No need to eat before you head out, as Landing Playcentre have you covered.

Kids parties hosted at Landing Bundoora

Landing also have the capability to host birthday parties and offer three rooms: the Fairy Room, Jungle Room and Explore Room. There are three packages so you can choose something basic or something a bit more premium. Each package covers eight children, and so you will have to pay additional for extra child guests. The adult admission also includes a drink voucher which we love.

If you jump on the Landing Bundoora website or take a look at the Google My Business, you will see how previous party goers have styled the space. You can take a look af the party packages and party rooms here.

Getting to Landing Playcentre Bundoora

Nestled in the suburb of Bundoora, the Landing Playcentre address is 2A/445 Grimshaw Street, Bundoora. The play centre is strategically positioned within a complex that sits directly adjacent to a bowling alley, offering families the opportunity to combine multiple recreational activities in a single outing. How good is that! It is also only an eight-minute drive to Bundoora Park Farm.

Visitors will appreciate the ample parking facilities, with a plentiful car park that eliminates the common stress of searching for a spot during busy periods. The Grimshaw Street location places it along one of the area’s main thoroughfares, making it easily accessible for families travelling from neighbouring suburbs.

If you have visited Bundoora’s Landing play centre, then we would love to hear what you think. If there is somewhere else we should head to with our little ones – be sure to email us as [email protected] or follow us on Instagram.
