The General Assembly, South Wharf

If you’re chasing the sights and the scenes, then get yourself to The General Assembly at South Wharf for their New Year’s spectacular. With incredible views of the waterfront and the fireworks, The General Assembly team is putting on live music all night long. The event has an all-inclusive food and drinks package, including spirits, so you know this is going to be a party you want to be at. To be precise, the package includes beer, wine, spirits and cocktails can be ordered at regular prices. Don’t worry about eating before you arrive either, the event has bite-size and substantial food roaming the venue to keep you fueled to see the new year in. Bang Bang, Elsternwick

If the city vibe isn’t what you’re chasing this New Year’s Eve, then look no further than Bang Bang in Elsternwick. This Indo-French fusion hotspot is putting on an event you’ll want to be at. Not only will your taste buds be in ecstasy, you’ll wonder how it’s taken you all year to realise that Bang Bang is the best place to celebrate the new year. The New Year’s Eve dinner kicks off at 6pm where you can spend 2-hours making your way through a 5-course Feed Me menu, offering the best Bang Bang chefs have to offer. Tickets are a very reasonable $85 per person, which is a steal for the culinary experience you’ll get as you welcome 2023. If you’re keen to package up dinner, drinks and some dancing, then opt for the New Year’s Eve Dinner, Drinks and DJ event. Kicking off at 8.30pm enjoy a four-hour bottomless wine, beer and selected cocktails plus the same 5-course Feed Me sit-down dinner already mentioned. That is an evening you’ll never forget and tickets cost $155 per person, but if you want to get extra bougie, add French Champagne for an additional $30 per person.

The Boatbuilders Yard, South Wharf

 Another New Year’s gold mine located on the Yarra River with an incredible view of the fireworks to see out 2022, The Boatbuilders Yard is one of the hottest tickets in town. The Boatbuilders Yard in South Wharf now offers all-inclusive drinks and food package, you will love welcoming 2023 in their expansive indoor and outdoor beer garden with incredible views of the river. The package includes beer, wine and of course bubbles, plus if you need a little extra pep in your step Espresso Martinis will be available to purchase on the night. Bite-size and substantial food is included so don’t overeat before you arrive. Tickets are on sale now for $150, and for groups of friends, you can get a waterfront upgrade for tables of 6 for $600, guaranteeing you a table all night.

Riverland Bar, Fed Wharf

There is arguably no better spot to say goodbye to 2022 and hello to 2023 than on the banks of the Yarra River at Riverland Bard. Riverland Bar is perfectly positioned to gaze at the stars and see the fireworks display as you welcome 2023. A classic package, a ticket to the Riverland Bar event comes with beer, wine, cider, bubbles and house spirits. This generous package also includes canapes and grazers to keep you feeling full all night long. Tickets are available for $150 and you’ll want to get in quickly as they won’t last long. Welcoming in 2023 at Riverland Bar is a night you won’t forget, seeing the fireworks display from a front-row seat and dancing the year away.

Storyville, CBD

If you’re looking for one of the most unique ways to see the New Year, then Storyville is the place to do it. This whimsical wonderland in Melbourne’s CBD is hosting a New Year’s Eve event that will make the start to 2023, your best yet. Walk through the Storyville rabbit hole and walk through a personal vortex into a night full of dancing, celebration and mayhem. The Storyville package includes a “Drink Me” shot on arrival, free-flowing beer, cider, wine, spirits and bubbles from 8 pm-midnight. Canapes will be roaming the venue from 8pm-10pm, so don’t arrive too late or risk missing out on the food, and DJ’s will be playing all the way through until 9am on New Year’s Day. This isn’t a New Year’s celebration for the faint-hearted, and tickets are going fast at just $105 per person. 

Arbory Float & Arbory Bar and Restaurant, Southbank
