It feels like there are so many alcohol brands and blends released each season, but this is one we were very excited about. The Tempus Two Gin is a stunning collection, breaking convention in their approach to distilling gin. We have tried and love so many Australian gin brands, but this unique Tempus Two curation is one you will want to add to your special collection. So, let the fun beGIN with Tempus Two.

Here are the highly anticipated three Tempus Two gins and their unique flavour profiles.

  • Tempus Two Copper Shiraz Gin
  • Tempus Two Copper Prosecco Gin
  • Tempus Two Copper Wild Botanical Gin

Leveraging the reputation, wisdom and craftsmanship of the Tempus Two wine brand, these gins have been made with grapes instead of grains. The Tempus Two botanical gin, Tempus Two Shiraz gin and Tempus Two prosecco gin have been made with quality wine, gently extracting the wine to produce grape wine spirits.

We have seen Australian spirit makers branching out into different liquor lines, but Tempus Two have achieved the impossible here to produce a fine gin offering while still being an award-winning winemaker.

So, let’s get to know the makers behind this Tempus Two gin Copper series.

Who is Tempus Two?

Tempus Two is a household name, and chances are there is a bottle on your table during most celebrations. The Copper gin collection is not the first time Tempus Two has broken the mould, as they have been challenging the norms of winemaking since 1997. They are based in New South Wales but don’t let that fool you – Tempus Two source and create wine in all regions. They are not bound to any convention, name or area – they make and sell wine at the highest of standards, regardless of location.

The classic bottle shape and design have made Tempus Two synonymous with celebrations, and they have produced a number of successful (and delicious) collections, including Copper, Uno, Pewter, Fleur, Varietal and Lighten Up. These collections span white, red, rosé and sparkling. It’s no wonder that Tempus Two gin has made a splash in the spirits market.

Our favourite Tempus Two Gin – Wild Botanical Gin

It’s a hard call to make, but we absolutely love the Tempus Two Copper Wild Botanical Gin. We are a fan of the classics, and the Tempus Two twist to these botanicals might just have you converted from the standard botanicals of juniper, coriander seeds, citrus peel and a seasonal root. It hits all the notes, tasting both familiar and foreign in its perfect flavour.

The Wild Botanical Gin by Tempus Two features a bold collection of botanicals, including desert lime, saltbush, wattle seed and orange peel. These native Australian flavours are just an example of the bold steps this revered wine-maker has taken in the Copper series. We would wager that a gin aficionado would start here in their Tempus Two gin exploration, as this classic will set the benchmark for the series, and potentially for the future gins that Tempus Two may release.

How to enjoy the Tempus Two Gins

Now let’s start with our favourite, the Tempus Two Wild Botanicals Gin. This one can be enjoyed in a number of ways, and how you have it will depend on whether you are using it in a cocktail or having the Tempus Two gin on its own.

Stir 3 parts of botanical gin and 5 parts dry tonic over ice. Strain into a chilled glass and garnish with an orange slice.

If you are a little more adventurous and want to try the Tempus Two Shiraz Gin or Tempus Two Prosecco Gin, then you have come to the right place. Tempus Two have been producing incredible red wines and prosecco, many of which are in the Copper collection. These gin selections can make the perfect gift, especially for those partial to wine and sparkles-inspired cocktail.

A close second: the Tempus Two Gin – Shiraz

The Shiraz Tempus Two Gin contains aromas of red fruits and peppery notes. This bold gin is perfectly enjoyed as a classic G&T, with an optional lemon and extra red fruits (we quite like it with grapefruit also). We first became aware of the Shiraz gin trend when it was launched by Four Pillars gin, and we have to say – this is a real contender!

The stunningly simply Tempus Two Prosecco Gin

This Tempus Two Prosecco Gin is the first of its kind in the world… yes, really! Not only does it have a distinctively floral aroma, but there are also flavours of green fruit, juniper, citrus and rosebuds. The Tempus Two Prosecco Gin can be enjoyed as a classic G&T with a wedge of lemon.

Have we converted you to this new collection of Tempus Twon gins? We would love to hear what you think of this Copper collection and how it has been enjoyed during celebrations. We consider ourselves to be a master of gin trying, so don’t forget to let the fun beGIN with Tempus Two gin and check out the range here.
